In today's Canada, a person's race shouldn't matter. But many Canadians have made it the center of their focus. Things get trickier when a person guesses another's race incorrectly. This becomes a bigger problem when being white is seen as bad thing generally.
Following a Twitter discussion, I tossed out a test with the photo of a white-looking man. Out of a few dozen replies, only two got it exactly right, and another two came close to guessing the correct answer.
Listen to this episode for the exact answer, and see the photo in my my tweet at https://twitter.com/TheophanesRex/status/1515345275057025035

The approach of the Canadian Left towards oil is at diametrical variance with that in most other countries. Their ideological fixation on one aspect at the expense of all the benefits of Fossil Fuels projects harms BOTH our present prosperity & the future one. The biggest victims of this folly will be our children and their children.
Listen to my views on the situation in this episode.

Last week, a debate erupted after a Conservative MP called PM Trudeau a 'dictator' in the House of Commons.
I take a deep dive into what makes a government 'dictatorial', and the grey area between an ideal democracy and an outright dictatorship. I also examine the policy precedents that have already moved us to the darker part of the grey area, as well as the role that complacency on the part of the media & the populace play in our slide away from the democratic ideal.

I met Brampton Centre MPP & Deputy Leader of Ontario NDP, Ms. Sara Singh on 10 November, 2021 to discuss how to get the Ford Government to begin implementation of the mercury remediation plan at Grassy Narrows, which is currently stalled in the pre-remediation stage for well over three and a half years.
This audio recording was made, and is being posted online, in the interest of full transparency in my dealing with a public official. I believe that Ontarians, especially my friends and supporters in the endeavour, are entitled to know in full detail my dealings with the officialdom on this matter.
Ms. Singh was extremely supportive, and I left the meeting with a feeling of hope that she will indeed help in getting the plan implemented in an expeditious manner.
Hoping for a fruitful outcome!!

I have been following up with the Ontario government on the progress (or otherwise) of the $ 85 million plan for Mercury Remediation of the English & Wabigoon Rivers at Grassy Narrows, which was announced in 2017.
Remediation work was supposed to begin in 2018. By 31 March 2020, it had not begun. My efforts to get the Panel Report for the year 2020-2021 have been fruitless for 8 weeks.
On 29 August, 2021, I caught up with my MPP Prabmeet Sarkaria to ask him, in person, about this delay. I recorded our chat.
