Many Canadians are borrowing the terminology of Indigenous issues in Canada and applying it to the conflict in Gaza. This is irresponsible and dangerous.

The argument that Yaroslav Hunka shouldn’t be judged as a Nazi because he made ‘a difficult choice’ of fighting one evil regime (the Soviets) by joining another evil regime (the Nazis) seeks to change fundamentally how we have viewed Nazi crimes.

The just-announced cut of $1 billion on defense spending is the latest example of why Canada has lost its clout on the world stage. Let’s take a look at the cumulative factors that have brought us to this sorry pass.

NDP leader Jack Layton was ridiculed for suggesting that geopolitical matters should be approached with pragmatism rather than ideological zealotry. Canada would do well to heed this advice in its diplomatic spat with India.

A recent MSM report shows that our Establishment is loath to address the uncomfortable aspects of any serious issue. Therefore, the issue doesn’t get resolved.
