Elon Musk’s endorsement of Republicans v/s Twitter neutrality
Tuesday Nov 08, 2022
Tuesday Nov 08, 2022
Elon Musk recommended to Americans to vote Republican in the November 2022 election. Earlier, he had said that Twitter would be politically neutral. Is there a contradiction between the two messages?
I discussed this with Rubina Ahmed-Haq on her show 'On Point' at AM640 on November 07.

Diversity v/s Division
Sunday Oct 30, 2022
Sunday Oct 30, 2022
Special treatment given to different identity groups in the name of Diversity only ends up causing Division. The resulting erosion of social cohesion is to the detriment of everyone - except the political class, which benefits handsomely from it.

Ep. 9: Death Of A Promise
Wednesday Aug 17, 2022
Wednesday Aug 17, 2022
Recent reports show that the policy of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) has become exactly the kind of slippery slope that its opponents were warning about. Instead of offering timely healthcare, our Universal Healthcare system causes interminable wait times, and when the patient's suffering becomes unbearable, cajoles them to accept dying via MAiD as an option.
In a nutshell, the promise of Universal Healthcare has died.

Ep. 8: In The Shadow Of The US
Tuesday Jun 28, 2022
Tuesday Jun 28, 2022
Events happening in the US provide a fulcrum – or a crutch, if you will – for discussing major issues of Canada. At such times, it feels like we haven’t attained the age of maturity as a country, and therefore must depend on examples and ideas from external sources for informing our views on issues that matter to us as a society. It is therefore natural that the posturing by politicians, media and others in the wake of news of events in the US appears juvenile.

Ep. 7 - Perennial Outsiders
Sunday May 22, 2022
Sunday May 22, 2022
A small segment of Conservative supporters believes that foreign-born Canadians should not be allowed to hold elected office. This isn't possible legally or practically, but the Left exploits this sentiment to turn many voters against Conservatives. But no party is doing enough to ensure that all their candidates are capable people of demonstrable merit. THAT is what we should be focusing on, rather than the place of birth of the office-holder.

Ep 6: Grassy Narrows - Does It Make Your Blood Boil?
Monday May 02, 2022
Monday May 02, 2022
The mercury poisoning of land, water & people at Grassy Narrows has the dubious distinction of being the most widely known and the least cared about public concern in Canada. Successive governments (including the current one) in Ontario have failed to remove the mercury. Opposition parties have failed to keep them accountable. It is now up to the voters of Ontario to force action and results. But in this regard, my crucial question for each Ontarian is: Does it make your blood boil?

Episode 5: Profiting From a Mess
Monday Apr 25, 2022
Monday Apr 25, 2022
Canada's policy on international students creates messes all around and causes grave suffering all over, including suicides and human trafficking. But this mess is not on the radar because the people who caused it are the ones benefiting from the mess.
Here's a look from one of the epicenters of this mess - Brampton, ON.

Episode 4: Is Canada Full Of Racism & Hate?
Saturday Apr 23, 2022
Saturday Apr 23, 2022
If we are to believe the officialdom & much of the media, Canada is teeming with hateful racists waiting to pounce on and victimize non-white people. This is in stark contrast with the messaging OUTSIDE Canada, where our country is presented as the best place on earth to live. Of course, the reality lies in-between, but pretending otherwise serves certain political objectives rather handsomely.
This pretense requires that political gatherings should be judged (and castigated, when necessary) based on the skin colour of the attendees, thereby rendering non-white Canadians as mere tokens to validate & give sanctity to these gatherings.

Episode 3: Racing Away
Saturday Apr 16, 2022
Saturday Apr 16, 2022
In today's Canada, a person's race shouldn't matter. But many Canadians have made it the center of their focus. Things get trickier when a person guesses another's race incorrectly. This becomes a bigger problem when being white is seen as bad thing generally.
Following a Twitter discussion, I tossed out a test with the photo of a white-looking man. Out of a few dozen replies, only two got it exactly right, and another two came close to guessing the correct answer.
Listen to this episode for the exact answer, and see the photo in my my tweet at https://twitter.com/TheophanesRex/status/1515345275057025035

Episode 2: Left With Oil
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
The approach of the Canadian Left towards oil is at diametrical variance with that in most other countries. Their ideological fixation on one aspect at the expense of all the benefits of Fossil Fuels projects harms BOTH our present prosperity & the future one. The biggest victims of this folly will be our children and their children.
Listen to my views on the situation in this episode.
